Chances - Five For Fighting

Five for Fighting just came out with a new single Chances! I recorded an acoustic version of it -- it's far from perfect, but halfway decent. Let me know what you think!

Dang

Nothing like spilling water on your crotch at work to keep you humble.

This little incident grounded me to my office chair for a good 15 minutes.

Mocha Mondays

So Mickey D's has been giving away free samples of their new iced mochas (and hot ones too) the last many Mondays.

I pass three McDonalds on my way to work.

I pass three McDonalds on my way back home.

I'm sure you can reason what this college kid does.

I'm actually kinda sick of mochas.

But next Monday is a new day.

Jazz Piano video

A little jazz fun on the keyboard. (yes, it's sitting on top of a piano that needs tuning)

Weekend Garage Sale Finds

Garage sales yesterday yielded some good finds for Brett and I.

Brett got an Xbox game for $3 and Trivial Pursuit 20th Anniversary Edition for $2 brand new.

Brett's total spent: $5.

I got a couple rustic pieces for the house -- early 1900s wood and metal things apparently used to hook up oxen back in the old days. They just looked sweet -- I'll take a picture sometime. $7.

Goodwill in Mishawaka offered two caramel apple scented candles for $2.

Also got 8 of those vinyl sayings you put on the wall that look like they're hand-painted. Each have price tags on them saying $15, $20, and $25. Got them for 10 cents a piece. $.80.

Total spent: $9.80.

Auction this afternoon with Brett, I'll make sure and followup if anything exciting happens. Judging from experience, it probably will.

I'm Yours - Jason Mraz Piano Cover

Happy 4th of July -- Praise God for freedom today. Coming home to the parent's place has been sweet as it's at least involved BBQ, fireworks, pseudo-homemade ice cream (faulty maker...), tennis, backyard fires, and lots of fresh coffee. I was in such a good mood yesterday that I had to record a little Jason Mraz I'm Yours action. It was a single take because we were about to eat, so it's not perfect (lyrics are a bit off I'm pretty sure) but oh well. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

Thank You, Lord, for freedom.
